San Pedro Perulapan Region
The municipality of San Pedro Perulapán is located in the department of Cuscatlán, 40 kilometers northeast of San Salvador. The area has a population of 66,000 people according to the local mayor’s office. This region is surrounded by rivers and creeks. Most of the population is made up of small-scale farmers or factory laborers. In the urban areas most residents have access to health clinics and schools.
