IGLESIA ZURISADAI, San Jacinto, Santa Ana

The Zurisadai Church is an energetic and active congregation of 170 members located in western El Salvador. In 2008, its pastor, Jaime Mauricio Alvarado, heard about ENLACE through conversations with Pastor Rafael Gonzalez, a pastor from Comecayo. Pastor Mauricio, a dedicated learner who constantly seeks opportunities to grow and become a better leader, along with his wife, Yanira, who is also a talented leader, were encouraged by Pastor Rafael to lead their church into a new vision of ministry.

With incredible excitement and speed, Pastor Mauricio and many church members joined the local community association and helped to make the group more representative, organized and inspired to serve. Since that time, a myriad of projects such as road repairs, the construction of dozens of homes, an improved water system and home gardens, have gone forward, transforming the landscape of San Jacinto and the hearts of hundreds of  its residents.

The goal for 2012 is to continue to strengthen the church's leadership through ongoing coaching and training and facilitate the development of infrastructure, health, and economic development projects.
