For the past seven years, ENLACE has hosted an annual retreat for the pastors and leaders of our partnering churches. This year nearly 140 men, women, and youth shared in activities, fellowship, and an enthusiasm for learning to “Lead Like Jesus,” which was chosen as this year's theme. For the first time, the partnering pastors led several of the workshops and their powerful example reflected the choice they have made to be servant leaders, impacting their communities in a significant way.

Lady Leaders!

Sandra and Nidia are strong leaders from the Assembly of God Church in San Antonio en Medio. Although their pastor could not attend the retreat for health reasons, the two women were completely engaged and excited about learning.
First Female Pastor to Work with ENLACE

Marta de Vaquerano is the pastor of the Powerful Word Christian Church in the community of Anemona in San Martin. Vaquerano was filled with enthusiasm and desire to serve after learning from other pastors at the retreat. Before, she saw community service as being limited to working with children, but now she is learning of other ways to impact her community.

Victorio Paz, pastor of Cornerstone Church in Abelines, has attended all of ENLACE's seven retreats. The transformation that has taken place in his life, church and community was seen by many as a confirmation of the work God wants to do through His Church!

Always Time for Prayer

Pastor Felix Amaya prays with fervor minutes before the “How to be an Influential Leader” workshop. His church has been a living testimony of God's blessing with their recent success with the home garden initiatives.
