Hard Work Under the Rain!
Rain poured down, and the team was soaked before arriving to the worksite on their first day. They kept their spirits high and worked despite the rain and mud.

Topo at work!
Alex, the youth pastor of The Good Samaritan Church, worked with the Exeter team to dig latrines in Las Animas. The team nicknamed him "El Topo," the mole, because of his hard work in the hole.

Two brothers get haircuts by a mother and daughter from the Exeter team.

Fellowship and Prayer
The team prays for Pastor Miguel and his family. Having dinner at the pastor’s home was a great opportunity for fellowship and sharing.

Strong and Happy!
Greg poses for the camera after removing several buckets of dirt from the hole. Because of the size and depth of a latrine, one person must be at the bottom the hole to fill buckets with dirt while someone else uses a rope to pull up the buckets and dump the dirt.

Joy After School
Cesar and his brothers came to Don Raca’s house each day after school to talk and play with the team as they worked.

Health and Joy!
Don Raca and his neighbors gathered for a photo with the Exeter team members who worked on the latrine at his home. All had become good friends by the team’s last day in Las Animas.

Adventurous Ride!
The team enjoyed riding in the back of Pastor Miguel’s pickup truck, as he gave them a lift to the worksite each day.

Team Work!
Pictured is the first time Pastor Miguel has ever gotten stuck in the riverbed, but Exeter team members, church leaders and ENLACE staff worked together to successfully free the truck!

Thank God I Came!
Eva was touched when she admitted that, at first, she did not want to come on this trip, but had only come to be with her daughter. Five days after being in El Salvador, she could not find the words to express the happiness she felt, as well as the awe of how much she had received from the people in Las Animas!

A Real Angel
This is the third time Angel Cervantez has visited El Salvador, and his love for this country is evident. He said, "We always think we come to give something to the people in these communities and our surprise is that we end up receiving something we never expected: unity, hapiness, genuine service, and love."
