A Grateful Family
“I Thank you, Lord. You listened to what I was asking for. You knew that I didn’t have enough resources to build a house.” Rosa Elena earns $35 weekly by working as a maid. Being the only breadwinner and living in a mud and bamboo house without running water, electricity, or even a latrine, Rosa never imagined that she could have a better life until she was told that she was chosen to receive a new home.

Last But Not Least!
“I thank the people from the church and all who have worked to provide a safe home for me and others in need. I pray for God to bless the church because they are working on behalf of those in need,” said Lucila Pocasangre Pérez home recipient.

Pupusas!
Housing recipients and women of the Tabernáculo Biblico Salem Church made over 500 pupusas for the celebration that marked the conclusion of the housing initiative's second stage. This was a delicious way of thanking everyone who worked hard to finish the 24 homes in communities of Miraflores, El Limón and El Espino.
-
Working Together
Pastor Santos Carpio, Nuria de Reyes (ENLACE church coach), Lazaro Flores (mayor of San Pedro Perulpan), and Alfredo Vargas (ENLACE Director of Operation) were just some of the leaders who helped to coordinate the construction of 24 homes and the perimeter wall of the public school in Miraflores. The homes were built in less than four months.

A Blessing from God
Leonor and Francisca both live in the community of El Limón. They now have their own new homes. Before, their poverty kept them from even dreaming about a better place to live. They recognize that their homes are nothing short of a blessing from God.
