Helping Hands

Road Improvement
The team helped community members work on a road which was extremely dangerous to pedestrains and vehicles during the rainy season.

Dr. Alysia
Team member and dentist Alysia Borgman with Kenya. Alysia served the community by providing dental care. She saw patients during the week, filled cavities and pulled teeth.

Precious Friends
Kerry Spontelli with Ana Ruth (10) who became a very special part of the team. Ana Ruth lives with her grandparents and her uncles. They live off of food from the dumpsters at the nearby San Martin Market. She had a smile on her face all week while with the team and became quite the photographer, teaching herself how to use a camera.

Mom's Ministry
Yolanda Camacho (seated center in blue) and Kerry Spontelli (left in white) ministered to moms of children in the Compassion International program which utilizes the church building. During the week she facilitated two groups where the moms could get to know one another and share similar experiences. One of the moms, Esmeralda, told Yolanda that she plans to continue on with the group so that the moms can stay connected and support one another.

Compassion
The team spent time with many children serving as an extension of El Buen Samaritano’s ministry.

Dedicated Servant
Team Leader, Dawn Ralph, visits students in the private school, Liceo Cristiano, where Crossing has served in previous years. Dawn has a great love for the people of El Salvador--this was her thirteenth trip!

Before the soccer game, everyone joined together to thank God for his blessing and the opportunity to come together again.
