INFRASTRUCTURE INITIATIVES

The majority of our communities reside in municipalities often lacking the full service of a local government to provide a basic infrastructure such as roads, bridges, and landslide prevention measures. Such challenges greatly impact the lives of families who struggle to get to and from work and school, to the market, and to any outside services (all that involve long commutes, often by foot). Also, with heavy rainy seasons each year, landslides are common, and put homes in harms way, threatening the lives of many.

ENLACE consults communities and churches to design, manage, and finance projects that will bring safety and convenience to neighboring families. These projects are highly successful and are usually done at lower costs, utilizing the labor of the community. Fundraising for such projects usually is focused on procurring materials.
