IGLESIA MARANATA, EL CARMEN

The Maranatha Church is a semi-urban congregation of 50 members located in central El Salvador. Its pastor, José María Claros, has a huge heart for service. In 2011, ENLACE church coach and pastor, Isidro Ramírez, from San Rafael Cedro, encouraged Pastor José to become an ENLACE partner.

Prior to working with ENLACE, the church had reached out the community in a variety of ways including providing food and clothes to those in need, hosting medical teams, and working with the local school. The church is highly motivated and, as a result of their efforts, the community holds the church in high regard. The coaching from ENLACE will build upon this foundation and help expand the vision and help guide a church already extremely committed to serving its community.

The goals for 2012 are to continue to strengthen the church’s leadership through ongoing coaching and training and to implement health, development, and infrastructure projects such as latrines and healthier, eco-stoves.
