A little over two years ago ENLACE started a pilot project to equip churches to transform communities in Nepal. Since that time, we have been working with 10 churches in the rural province of Dang. We are now accepting donations for relief efforts after the devastating earthquakes. The relief funds collected will be distributed and implemented by our staff in country and two organizations that are mobilizing local churches to distribute water, food, tents, and other supplies.
ENLACE (pronounced en-lah-say, the Spanish word for link) has been equipping churches to transform communities in El Salvador since 1993.
El Salvador is a country full of hardship as well as opportunity. Battered by wars, earthquakes, and ongoing violence, the people of El Salvador struggle to break the cycle of poverty. In rural El Salvador:
- 46% live in dirt floor homes
- 23% of children suffer from chronic malnourishment
- 58% lack access to clean water
- 63% live on less than $2 per day
ENLACE responds to these challenges by equipping churches to alleviate poverty in their own communities. Over a 10-year period, ENLACE trains and coaches church leaders to work with their communities to develop sustainable solutions in the areas of:
- home gardens
- clean water and sanitation
- medical care and health education
- small business ventures
- roads, bridges and infrastructure

Of all the missions organizations I’ve worked with, I’ve never seen one more strategic in their approach and well suited for a transforming partnership with US churches."
